SWIFT CLIPPER® News

August–September 2026

A More Refined Swift Clipper®

In 2026, Swift Clipper underwent a major redesign focused on a more compact form, optimized mechanics, improved ergonomics, and a cleaner, more efficient overall design.

The updated model features a more compact body, a refined internal mechanism, and a simplified Claw Guide system. The original three-guide setup was replaced with two dedicated sizes — 2 mm for smaller claws and kittens, and 3.5 mm for adult cats and larger claws.

The blade locking mechanism was also redesigned. Earlier versions required a small modification to the standard #18 craft blade to secure it in place. The updated design uses an optimized retention system that accepts standard, unmodified #18 craft blades while keeping blade changes quick and tool-free.

Other updates include relocated built-in spare blade storage, fewer internal components, easier assembly, and a wrist strap for added convenience.

The redesigned Swift Clipper® enters small-batch 3D-printed production in September 2026.

2024

From Prototype to First Production Design

Throughout 2024, Swift Clipper went through multiple design and prototype iterations using CAD development and 3D printing.

This stage focused on refining the enclosed cutting mechanism, improving the body design, testing different internal configurations, and turning the original concept into a practical, production-ready product.

By the end of 2024, the first complete version of Swift Clipper had taken shape and was ready for small-batch production and real-world testing.

2023

Development of Swift Clipper Begins

Development of Swift Clipper started in 2023 with the goal of creating a compact, button-operated alternative to traditional scissor-style cat claw clippers.

Early prototypes established the core concept: an enclosed cutting mechanism, controlled blade movement, and interchangeable Claw Guides.
